Manchester United's stormtroopers ripped through Highbury last night to put the wind up the Premiership.
And as Arsenal surveyed the title debris inflicted by the visit from the Red tornado, Eric Cantona was reflecting on the personal damage done by United's championship win.
Hurricane Eric hasn't blown himself out yet, and the Frenchman will undoubtedly have a say in the destiny of the Premiership. But in producing what I rated their best half of the campaign in a powerful first period without Cantona, United signalled the wind of change at Old Trafford.
Fergie's verdict
It was a very good performance from us in the first half. We played absolutely superbly. But from being comfortably in control we then had to endure a nervous final 15 minutes and that shouldn't have happened. But goals change games and Arsenal came back at us.
We should have added to our goals really. It was an occasion when we could have scored a lot of goals.
The chances we created were down to really good belief in our ability to pass and move. Our front two of Cole and Solskjaer were absolutely magnificent. They were always a problem for Arsenal.
Andy Cole has had a lot of good games for us but that was his best since his comeback in December.
The players realised this was an important game and when they do that and concentrate we are a good side. There is no doubt about that and we showed it tonight.
The players know they can't mistake here on in and this was a game we had to win tonight. It was an important result.
Man of the Match
Roy Keane. Led by example with a real dominant and forceful captain's job.
